These boots are fantastic! The leather is incredibly soft and supple, and I find the boot to be perfectly true to size. I wear an 8.5, bought an 8.5, and they fit perfectly out of the box, no breaking in required. I wore normal socks, nothing special or extra-thick. They are very floppy at the top. I did poke a few extra holes to cinch them a little tighter, but due to the nature of the boot design they still manage to flop open at the top. Somehow they still end up looking great, so it really doesn't bother me. Comfy, cute, beautiful color (I bought the brown), perfect fit, excellent materials. I have waited a long time for these to be available at a reasonable price
